Cheltenham Civil Service RFC – LADIES XV COACH FOR THE 2019/2020 SEASON

Cheltenham Civil Service RFC – LADIES XV COACH FOR THE 2019/2020 SEASON

Cheltenham Civil Service are looking for a new coach for their ladies team for the forthcoming season. The Service Ladies team had their best season in several years last term, finishing fourth in their league. Three players were also nominated for County trails.

The ladies team have been steadily developing over the past couple of seasons, bringing through a largely new squad of players. Some of our players have been new to the game but have developed into a fine team.

We have excellent facilities, renowned as having the best pitches in Gloucestershire, a keen player base and lots of good quality, modern training apparatus. We believe in a ‘one club’ concept, with both our mens and ladies teams training on the same nights, providing mutual support. We have also recently been working with the University of Gloucestershire to provide specialist strength and conditioning coaching support, which we hope to continue and grow.

The coach is required to attend Thursday evenings for training and on Sundays for matches. Tuesday training sessions aren’t currently coach led, but we are open to discussion on this front, but appreciate that it is a huge commitment.

The ideal candidate will have played before at a reasonable level, holding the level 2 RFU or equivalent coaching qualification and be a positive influence. Leadership and development of the players will be fundamental to the role.

The team has the raw materials to compete for the league title next season and continue their development. We require support to achieve this. With this in mind we would look to support  professional development through RFU Coaching qualifications and other related courses, alongside any new kit requirements.
