Cheltenham Civil Service Sharks are a Kids First rugby club, based in Cheltenham, offering fun, friendship and rugby to players and parents alike.

This season we will be running three juniors teams. An U7s, U9s and U11s with the goal of creating other age groups as we go.

Mini-Rugby is a fun game for children from Year 1(U6) to Year 6 (U11).  We are a Quilter Kids First Rugby Club.

Putting having fun, enjoyment, playing with friends and making lots of new ones at the forefront. U6s to U8s play non-contact tag rugby, and then the U9s begin the transition to contact.

We train on Sunday Mornings from 10.00am – 12pm. Our first session for the 2018/19 season is on Sunday 2nd September. We very much welcome everyone, girls and boys, whether they are new to the game or have played before, in each and every age group. Please come along on a Sunday morning to try it out (for free). Please do check the fixtures schedule just to make sure we are at home or the website if the weather isn’t that great.

Kit – to begin with, in the younger age groups, in early Autumn no special kit is needed, but as Autumn turns to winter, boots with studs, gloves, hats, base layer tops and bottoms, help the kids to stay warm and, above all, enjoy their rugby. As part of your membership you will be given a match shirt on loan for the season along with club shorts and socks for the children to keep. We keep a small supply of boots and other equipment should a child be needing them.

Parking is free and available on site on Sunday mornings right next to the pitches. There is tea and coffee available each time we train at home, to keep the parents warm as the weather turns from summer into winter.

All of our coaching staff and volunteers attend regular RFU coaching and training sessions including safe guarding. We have onsite trained first aiders  and all coaches and staff are DBS checked.
